Sex Trafficking
  • Found by law enforcement exchanging sex for money/something of value

  • Found by law enforcement advertised on social media

  • Found by relative/friend with objective information of exchanging sex for something of value

Labor Trafficking
  • Found by law enforcement involved in illegal work due to minor’s age and/or documentation status and force, fraud or coercion is determined

  • Found by law enforcement after labor exploitation has been identified and force, fraud or coercion is determined

  • Found by law enforcement involved in gang based trafficking (e.g. drugs, guns, etc.)

  • Note: this population may not be recognized as victims of labor trafficking and may not be protected under safe harbor laws

  • Disclosure by a relative/friend that the minor is involved in work that includes force, fraud or coercion
